Activation and Validity
You need to specify an activation date for these cards. No activation on Sundays. Your validity period begins when the card is activated, due to which we suggest to activate only the day before you travel.
The SIMs will be valid for 30 days from the date of activation.
Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside Malaysia will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to be suspended.
Coverage
Celcom is the oldest mobile telecommunications provider in Malaysia. Celcom has the widest and most extensive coverage nationwide in Malaysia, compared to other cellular operators.
Receiving calls
People in mainland Malaysia can just dial your number directly to reach you, for example, 327 818 123; People outside Malaysia need to dial +60 plus your number, for example, +60 327 818 123
Calling a mobile number in Malaysia
Dial the 8/9 digit mobile number directly; Malaysia mobile numbers start with 1. For example, call number 132332332 directly.
Calling a fixed line number in Malaysia
Dial 0 + area code + phone number, Langkawi area code is 4; for example, calling a Langkawi fixed line number 12345678, dial 04 12345678
Calling an international number when in Malaysia
Dial “00” or “+” + country code + phone number. For example, to call India number 022 24216344, dial “0091 22 24216344” or +91 22 24216344.

Account Balance Enquiries
Simply dial *124# from your device to get your plan current balance. For data balance dial *118*1*1*2# or send MAX STATUS to 28882
Airtime Top Up
General Tune Talk airtime can be applied to this SIM card, which means you can either purchase airtime at Celcom Online or other retail channels.

Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM. However, we are not in a position to aid you in extending the validity of the card.
APN Setting
For most devices, this SIM card does not require any APN configuration to access Internet. iPhones rarely require any APN setting. However, some Android based devices may require you to manually configure their APN in order to access Internet correctly. If you have an Android OS based device, and your phone can make calls and receive texts, but cannot access Internet, please try to configure the APN based on the following instructions:

Enter Wireless Control-> Mobile Network Settings-> Wireless Access Points (WAP) name-> Menu-> New APN, then input following information:
Name: celcom4g
APN: celcom4g ; username:blank ; password:blank
DNS: 0.0.0.0
Gateway: 0.0.0.0

I have used T sim for Europe earlier also and used Malaysia Sim now. It’s a perfect solution and worked seamlessly all over Kualalumpur abd Langkawi island. Had no problem in connectivity anywhere except on occassions when Data Connection use to Stop functioning abruptly. I had to contact T Sim chat using hotel WiFi and it got redolved within 10 mins or so.

Folks, I bought Malaysia sim and latter figured out there were few negative reviews about Tsim and I called up customer service executive and asked same, she said people try to insert sim prior to landing in given country hence they face issues, she asked me not to Insert sim till I land in Malaysia though I was not convinced anyhow I already bought card so no option. But when I landed in Malaysia and tried, it took 5mins or so and this sim was up and it was so much helpful for me. 2G speed was good enough for me as I won’t use much of fb stuff n all, and call duration sufficient too.
So it’s a big plus from me for Malaysia sim.

You’ll be able to stream HD videos buffer-free and make video call to India. Free voice call to india and local is very useful.
