Activation and Validity
You need to specify an activation date for these cards. No activation on Sundays. Your validity period begins when the card is activated, due to which we suggest to activate only the day before you travel.
The SIMs will be valid for 30 days from the date of activation.
Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside Indonesia will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to be suspended.
Coverage
SmartFren launched the largest and fastest 4G network in Indonesia in 2016. It is 4G only, with no 3G coverage at all.
Receiving calls
People in Indonesia can just dial your number starting with zero to reach you, for example, 0 882 5555 4200. Callers from outside Indonesia must remove the starting zero and add +62 E.g. +62 882 5555 4200
Calling a mobile number in Indonesia
Dial the mobile number directly with the initial 0; For example, call number 0 882 5555 4200 directly.
Calling a fixed line number in Indonesia
Dial 0 plus the 10-digit number + area code + number.

Airtime Top Up
There is no included talktime. General SmartFren airtime can be applied to this SIM card, which means you can either purchase airtime Online or other retail channels.
Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM. However, we are not in a position to aid you in extending the validity of the card.
APN Setting
For most devices, this SIM card does not require any APN configuration to access Internet. iPhones rarely require any APN setting. However, some Android based devices may require you to manually configure their APN in order to access Internet correctly. If you have an Android OS based device, and your phone can make calls and receive texts, but cannot access Internet, please try to configure the APN based on the following instructions:
