Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
  • Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    Well connected 4G & 5G internet, had no issues in connectivity through during my trip to multiple EU countries Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovenia & Italy.
    Absolutely worth buying TSIM.
    The only problem faced, was unable to track data usage for the spain issued sim card, tried all the given options still could not track..
    For me Rs. 2489 plan with 19 GB covered 29 days seamlessly, last 2 days my internet pack was exhausted and I had to look for other options for last two days.
    I would definitely recommend buying TSIM for your next EU trip.
    The water proof mobile cover also proved to be quite useful, as it rains frequently there.

    Used the Europe SIM card for one month in April 2023 in France, Portugal and Belgium. The signal for receiving data was very good and was a smooth affair. No problems at all. Mainly used for data as calls were made through WhatsApp.

    Only issue was that I was not aware of the telephone number of the SIM and got it after calling a known contact in Europe.

    First the activation was not done on the first day of my visit.
    The number got activated on next day so the whole purpose of buying the sim did not served.
    In the collect call kindly use the third party numbers of UK only so that the person on the other side can pick the call , as in some of the collect calls the number shown was of some black listed counties.

    Bought a simcard for Europe. The card failed to register when I switched it on in Sweden. Bought a local simcard as the navigation was dependant on it. Raised the issue with Tsim when I got back. The response was immediate and I hope the issue will get resolved soon. Minor setback on this trip but I have got Tsim simcards a number of times in the past and their performance has always been very good. I prefer it over the roaming plans from other operators.

    The service was excellent , but I was unaware of non renewal part. Luckily I have to go to EU tonight and I had added 10Pounds to my number. The amount is deducted from my card via the app but don’t know if the services work as I have circulated the mobile no to my colleagues in EU.

In general our cards are provided for tourist use with restrictions on total trip time that vary from operator to operator and country to country. For Europe SIM Cards only the 14 day SIM cards can have their validity extended for another 14 days. Further extension is possible only after registration with the operator Orange France. For the other Europe SIM Cards we do mark in the drop down that “Refill or extension of validity is not available”. Thank you once again for recording your experiences.

    Only Delivery goes a bit slow and I have to follow up a lot
    Apart from that everything was good, the network was good – I did not face any challenge in using the network where ever I was, it was quite strong for video as well as text message or using any websites. However there were certain websites which could not be open their maybe due to the Sims network or other settings. I could open via India sim only. I also got some free data.

    Answered by the admin You may scan the eSIM before reaching the destination & set the status to disabled. You may enable the same on reaching the destination. Do NOT DELETE the eSIM once installed as the eSIM cannot be re installed if QR code already scanned once. You will need to buy a new SIM.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344.
