Using the SIM Card

Using the SIM Card for the first time
  1. Power off your phone
  2. Insert your new SIM card
  3. Power on your phone
  4. Ensure that roaming is turned on your phone.
  5. Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.

Please also note, using this SIM card to surf Internet or make calls outside covered countries will significantly reduce the data and voice usage capacity, or even cause the SIM card to stop functioning.

Receiving calls

People anywhere in the world can dial your UK or French number directly to reach you, for example, +44774132 12345 or +33674132 12345. The local number is especially useful for booking cabs, hotels and restaurant reservations.

Making local calls

For the purposes of this card, local calls include calls to any country mentioned under “Coverage”, from any country mentioned under “Coverage”. To make such calls use the full international format. E.g. to call a UK landline number from any country use (for example) +44 207 222 1234.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.

eSIM Advantages

  • Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
  • Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.

eSIM Disadvantages

  • Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
  • eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
  • Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
  • Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.

Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code

Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM

iPhone XR, XS and newer
  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular.
  2. Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
  3. Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR activation code

Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification

T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

    The SIM was promptly activated on the specified date. It worked perfectly fine and I could make local and calls to India without any trouble and could use the Mobile data seamlessly. The only issue that I faced was, I wasn’t able to call a particular Matrix number which even the customer service couldn’t resolve. Overall I am quite satisfied with the SIM and the service.

    We purchased 4 sim cards. Out of that 2 did not work. After sometime the third one stopped working. No way to contact the customer service. Had to use roaming facility by using our Indian sim card. Very disappointed as we had faith & trust in Tsim products. One should look for long term benefits rather than short term benefits.

    picked up the Europe roaming card with data, vide no Order #160954 on 4th June 2019, got it activated on 7th june, validity was one months, on landing in Europe the local europe calling and data worked fine BUT calls to India were not possible from day one, message coming was “not available enough balance”.

      India calling for the Economy version of the SIM Card requires a 2 stage dialing process. We have no record of any attempts from your SIM card to the UK access number. Any attempt to call India directly without the 2 stage process will result in the message you have described above.

    I visited London Spain and Switzerland from first June to 12th June, tsim data work properly also I was able to make local calls but calling to India did not work at all I tried it number of times and contacted the customer service care but repeatedly got the same process of dialling India but I was unable to call India the same issue has been faced by One of my friends also I do not recommend taking tsim for making some international calls my experience was a total disappointment

    this is my 2nd experience with tsim
    had a 17 day trip in Europe and used the unlimited Europe sim[12gb economy] 3000 rps with 28 days expiry – had a wonderful experience worked amazingly well in Belgium/Austria/Slovakia/Czech rep/ germany – didn’t have any issues whatsoever calling or data – Vodafone charges you 6000 for the same – calls to india with pre dial number & local calls worked seamlessly so did 4g data
    highly recommended- just activate it 3 days before arrival -2 free gifts received came very very handy[3 fold umbrella & credit card wallet]

    Answered by the admin The Orange SIM will automatically activate once connected to the network in the coverage country. Although the packaging mentions 8GB, the plan has been upgraded by the operator to 12GB. All requisite information like phone number, PIN etc is mentioned in the pamphlet.

    Answered by the admin The refill availability depends upon the respective operator and is mentioned in the details for each drop down. Unfortunately, for the mentioned SIM from Three UK, refill is not available.

    Answered by the admin For the France SIMs, the number is received by SMS when you first use the card in any covered country. For the other SIMs, the number is sent by email to users on activation.

    Answered by the admin You may scan the eSIM before reaching the destination & set the status to disabled. You may enable the same on reaching the destination. Do NOT DELETE the eSIM once installed as the eSIM cannot be re installed if QR code already scanned once. You will need to buy a new SIM.

    Yes! You will need to provide your Passport Copy (photo page + address page copy) & Visa copy. The link to upload these documents would have been sent to you after successfully placing the order. The SIM automatically activates when you insert the SIM in any covered country. Your validity period begins when the card is activated.

It involves using TSIM Calling Service wherein users dial a UK Access Number & when prompted dial their India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344. Details also sent alongwith the order. All of these plans are good to use in Europe. These plans have have varying amounts of data & talktime. You can select the plan according to your needs.
