Activation process
You need to specify an activation date for these cards. No activation on Sundays. Your phone number will be sent to you only after activation. Your validity period begins when the card is activated, due to which we suggest to activate only the day before you travel.
Using the SIM Card
Using the SIM Card for the first time
- Power off your phone
- Insert your new SIM card
- Power on your phone
- Your phone should connect on a GSM/WCDMA/LTE network.
Coverage
Our cheaper SIM cards work on the T mobile network, either directly or through their partners. T mobile is an ultra fast network, however its remote area coverage lags that of AT&T. If you intend to visit many remote areas in the USA, such as Alaska, natural beauty spots, national parks etc, you may want to consider our SIM cards that use the AT&T network, marked (High Coverage).
Receiving calls
People in USA can dial your number directly to reach you, for example, 1 804 555 1233; People outside USA need to add + to your number, for example, +1 804 555 1233
Calling a number in North America
Dial the 11 digit number directly; for example, call number 1 804 555 1233 directly. You can also add + to the number before dialing. There is no distinction between a landline number and a mobile number in North America
Calling India using Direct Dial
Dial “011” or “+” + country code + phone number. For example, to call India number 022 24216344, dial “01191 22 24216344” or +91 22 24216344.
Calling India using 2 stage dialing (for High Coverage cards):
Dial USA Access Number +13476701779 & when prompted dial the India number in full international format. E.g. 912224216344).

Emergency Call Number: 911
Please dial “911” to report an emergency. They will ask you your location and the nature of the emergency. There are penalties for calling this number when not in emergency situations.
Extension of validity
These cards can be refilled at the telecom operator’s site for an extension of validity. The telecom operator name is mentioned on the SIM card that you receive. These refills will generally be more expensive than the rates paid to TSIM.
APN Setting
APN setting is automatic and should not require to be set manually. In case of no data initially please restart your phone and wait for a few minutes.
What is an eSIM?
eSIM stands for “embedded” SIM which is installed in your phone by scanning a QR code or tapping a notification. If an activation date is required the QR code / Notification is sent after activation, else 24hours after completing your documentation.
eSIM Advantages
- Easy to use: Set up your plan by scanning a simple QR code or tapping a notification.
- Save on Shipping cost: No physical delivery requirement
- Save on time: In a rush to travel? We will send eSIM QR Code via email. Scan it as per instructions and It will be ready to use upon arrival.
- Keep your original SIM: The eSIM is in addition to your original SIM which will work as usual if you need it.
eSIM Disadvantages
- Unfamiliar: Since it is a new technology expect to be learning a bit.
- eSIM Compatible Phones: eSIM will only work in eSIM compatible phones. As a general rule, iPhone 11 and Android model 2021 and higher models are compatible with eSIM.
- Single Use Only: Most eSIM codes can be used only once. Please do not delete the eSIM created on your phone, since it cannot be recreated on your phone or any other phone. However you can de-activate the eSIM when not needed from your settings.
- Transfer of eSIM: To transfer an eSIM from one phone to another you must visit the store of the Operator concerned. However some USA eSIMs can be transferred from one iPhone to another.
Activating eSIM on your Device using a QR Code
Most eSIMs are installed using a QR code. The QR code is sent to you by eMail. You need an Internet connection to install an eSIM
iPhone XR, XS and newer
- Go to Settings, then Cellular.
- Select Add a plan, and the Camera app will open.
- Point your camera at the QR activation code until you see a message that says Installing cellular plan.
2021 Android and newer
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR activation code
Activating eSIM on your Device using an Operator Notification
T-mobile, AT&T and some other operators make it even simpler to install eSIMs. They send a notification directly to your phone. Just tap on the notification and follow the instructions as in images below. The notification is sent to the phone you intend to use on your trip for which you have given us the EID and IMEI number by dialing *#06#.

I have used TSIM services, both SIM cards and Insurance and have found it great value for money. The US sim works very well; last year I had used it, good network, infact even while I was in immigration line, I was getting data and calls! This time I bought the sim in mid March but due to the lockdown could not travel. But the TSIM company has promised to extend the activation date for whenever I travel next. I may not be able to travel till next year, and I would request them to extend the validity by a year on humanitarian grounds, so that my money does not go waste. Their service is very good and I always use their sims for any international travel, whether US, or Europe or other asian countries.

It would be a good idea to let customer know about sim network related to each product (Lyca/T-mobile/AT&T in case of USA).
I thought my simcard was T-mobile but it turned out to be Lyca…. my mobile bands were matching for T-mobile….so got only 2G network.

I was making a trip to USA for two weeks in the second half of February 2020. I was visiting New York City and Florida. I wanted to have my USA sim card before I left. I did a lot research on the net to find out which phone service would be the most functional and the most cost effective. TSIM stood out in the analysis. It had received a lot of good reviews on the product as well as on customer service. So I ordered one t-mobile sim card from them.
In the meantime I started using their Whatsapp chat to get all my questions clarified. The response from their Whatsapp chat was amazingly quick and to the point. They expertly guided me as to which Indian phones would work in USA and which not. That proved very useful while I was in the USA.
Once I ordered, I was kept informed regularly about the status of the order. It arrived on time and was activated on time before I left India.
Once in the USA, I had no problem connecting to t-mobile network using the Indian phone which they said would work. Data speeds were excellent with 4G connection both in New York and Florida. I was very impressed.
One small issue I faced. I was not able to check the data balance from my phone. I again contacted their Whatsapp chat from USA and they checked the balance for me in a flash and let me know.

For our recently completed trip to the USA in Feb 2020 which was a two week tour to over 6 states including St Francisco , Los Angeles , Las Vegas , New York , Washington and Miami , I finally opted for TSIM for my calling and internet services and this was after browsing over the net for nearly a week.
I saw the reviews were good and went for it and all readers trust me this is a powerful service and I had excellent and very strong connection all through my trip except for Grand Canyon in Arizona state which is very well understood as the contact person at TSIM had clearly informed me the same.
Every calling be it local US calls or even calls to India through a connecting number was superb and without any problem whatsoever.
Even the browsing was perfect and I am saying this as I did not face any problem whatsoever and once I returned to Mumbai I disconnected and the whole deal for a very economical price of 3489 is comfortably acceptable, at least for me.
I am thankful to TSIM and would highly recommend travellers to USA to prefer this product and hope they also get the same service as I was thrilled to enjoy during the entire trip.

Good service. Got delivery of the SIM card at my home the very next day . Also the sim got activated correctly on the activation date and a prompt email arrived giving the mobile number. Query response was prompt. I had to take 2 months validity SIM card for usa whereas I needed for 45 days. They should have a daily package also if we want more than a month but less than 2 months. Otherwise it is fine. Keep it up

Great service by Tsim. High speed internet as mentioned on the site. However I was told that my Honor 8X will not work with AT&T sim and I had to procure Samsung S8 but when I plugged in the sim into my Honor phone to test, it worked perfectly.

I used the SIM, which is a lycamobile one, in the Bay Area in US. Everything worked perfectly for me. The signal was strong in all places I was in. Data speed was at the normal 4G levels. Voice quality was excellent. I called India a number of times, and the call quality was great always. Overall, highly satisfied with the SIM.
I must also thank TSIM for the thoughtful act of including a pin for opening the SIM tray of the phone in the SIM package.

I used TSIM’s High coverage (8GB) USA plan and I must say that I have been delighted by the connectivity, internet and cellular worked like a charm, except when I was in Grand Canyon there was no (or minimal) Signal at all (Folks, Please take care of this the next time for a 5 star rating!) otherwise I did not face any issues at all in NY, Phoenix, LA, SFO, Vegas and surrounding areas
